Member for Longman Wyatt Roy first announced the test rollout in June this year, promising download speeds of about 100 megabits per second, about 17 times faster than current average speeds by the middle of next year.

The NBN Co spokesman was more conservative, saying as of September, the pilot project’s 50 end-users had average download speeds of “up to 90mbps” and average upload speeds of “up to 36 mbps”.

Already playing the “up to” game on NBN speeds for a trial that isn’t rolled out. FTTN is a mess.
